Editing, color, sound, layout and delivery stay in one project instead of moving between separate apps. ## Home Home opens with "I'm building" and four starting points: Movie, Clip, Poster and Vertical. The command palette (Shift Command P) runs any action from the keyboard. The Momentum Dial puts Split, Duplicate, Nudge and Ripple Delete on the selected clip. ## Sequencer Sequencer is the room for editing picture and sound on a multitrack timeline. It imports an XML or EDL cut and hands it back as FCPXML or EDL. A scene can be transcribed and the timeline cut from the words. ## Finisher Finisher is the room for color, scopes, Reframe, localization, fixes and delivery. It includes color grading with scopes, Shot Match from a reference still, Reframe from 16:9 to 9:16 with a camera move that tracks the main subject, subtitles with local translation, and export of SRT subtitles or burned-in captions. ## Atelier Atelier is the room for layout, photo, video composition and brand kits. A brand kit can be applied to a poster and every poster aspect checked and exported at once. ## SOUND mode and Spatial Theatrics SOUND mode includes Spatial Theatrics, a mix inside a 3D theater. Tracks become objects placed in the room. The mix can be checked from audience, cutaway, plan and front views. Dialogue, music, effects and ambience run on DX, MX, FX and AMB buses, and scene loudness is read against a target. ## J.A.R.E.D. J.A.R.E.D. is the assistant built into cinemaOS. It runs on the device: transcription, translation and looks stay on the Mac, and there are no credits to buy. It opens with Command J, takes requests in plain words, transcribes scenes and follows design instructions. Subtitles can be translated with Wi-Fi off. ## Price comparison cinemaOS costs $9.99 USD per month excluding VAT. Adobe Creative Cloud Pro costs $104.99 per month in the US on the month-to-month plan, with no yearly commitment.
