Build a sequence from a layered design
Give a title and a photograph their own Position keys, then choose Motion Timing, Stagger Layers by 0.5 s so the second movement starts half a second later.

When every layer moves at once, the eye has nowhere to start. Stagger Layers offsets the keys of the selected layers so the movements follow each other. This tutorial staggers a title and a photograph by half a second.
Steps
- Animate both layers. In Video Composition, give the title and the photograph their own Position keyframes.
- Stagger them. Select both animated layers. Right-click and choose Motion Timing, Stagger Layers and by 0.5 seconds.
- Check the keys. The first layer in the timeline keeps its keys. The next layer's keys move half a second later.
- Play it. Replay the composition and watch the two movements separate. Leave enough time after the last key for a readable hold.
- Keep it editable. Stagger Layers moves animation keys only, and the layer bars keep their length. Save the project so you can change the timing later.
Notes
- In the project both layers start with keys at 0 and 2 seconds. After the stagger the photograph's keys sit at 0.5 and 2.5 seconds and the title's keys stay at 0 and 2.
- The composition is six seconds long.
- The photographs are generated assets from the TUSSENIN demonstration project, owned by Momentum Studios.
