Describe the feeling. J.A.R.E.D. is the cinemaOS assistant: you ask for a look in a sentence, review what it proposes and approve it. This tutorial asks for two looks on one shot.
Steps
- Open J.A.R.E.D. Press Command J and type your request in English.
- Ask for a look. For this shot, ask: Make it anamorphic. Review the proposed treatment before applying it.
- Approve and try another. Approve with Go Ahead. You can also ask: Apply the Portra look. Treat each response as a starting point for your own judgement.
- Compare with the original. Keep the elements that suit the scene and adjust anything that feels too strong. Describe the direction, then make it yours.
Notes
- The recording uses two real prompts and real Go Ahead approvals. The anamorphic treatment is set to 70 percent and the Portra request applies the Kodak Portra 400 legacy look.
- With Always ask enabled, J.A.R.E.D. proposes and nothing is applied until you approve it.
