Mismatched photos? One finish. The Photo room can copy a treatment from the open photograph to the others you select, group by group. This tutorial builds a restrained film finish on one still, syncs it to a second and exports both.
Steps
- Choose a film look. In Photo, open Film and choose 35mm Release Print. Keep the treatment restrained enough to preserve the light.
- Add texture. Add Physical Grain for texture, then use Diffusion gently to soften the highlights.
- Refine and compare. Lower the Strength of the grain until it supports the photograph. Use Split and After to judge the treatment.
- Select the set. Keep the treated photo open and select both stills in the bin. Check that the selected count reads two.
- Sync the groups you want. Open SYNC SETTINGS. Turn on Look and Effects & layers, leave the other groups off, then press Sync now.
- Export and review. Choose Web JPEG and Export 2 Selected. In Batch Review, inspect the pair and choose Keep All. Each photo keeps its own editable recipe.
Notes
- Values in the project: Physical Grain strength 0.08 and Diffusion strength 0.20. No percentage is spoken in the narration because the compact inspector clips the field in parts of the recording.
- Sync copies the chosen groups from the open photo to the other selected photos. Develop, Crop, Straighten and Masks stay off in the recording.
- The photographs are generated assets from the TUSSENIN demonstration project, owned by Momentum Studios.
