Repeating the same look on shot after shot? cinemaOS has two shortcuts for this: Command T for the default transition and Option Shift A for an adjustment layer that treats a range of shots together.
Steps
- Add the default transition. Select the edit point and press Command T. Play across the boundary to judge its timing.
- Keep it only where it helps. Keep the transition only where it supports the shot change. Review it in motion rather than on a still frame.
- Add an adjustment layer. Press Option Shift A to add an adjustment layer over the shots you want to treat together.
- Set the range and the treatment. Adjust the layer's range and apply the shared treatment, a monochrome look in the recording. Play the section to check where it begins and ends.
Notes
- The adjustment layer sits above the shots in the timeline, so the shared treatment has a clear, visible place in the sequence and can be trimmed like a clip.
